The Gold Prospectors Association of America currently has three claims in Ohio. In order to prospect on any of these claims you must be a member of the GPAA or be the guest of a GPAA member.
These are leased sites. Please respect the landowner’s property and crops. Camping is permitted on each of these claims for up to 14 days for current GPAA members. Facilities are primitive, each claim has Porta Pots, but no electric, potable water or dump stations. Please use common sense and be courteous to your fellow prospectors. Make sure campfires are contained and extinguished properly and remember, if you pack it in, pack it out. Leave the claims clean and hopefully we will be able to enjoy prospecting on them in the years to come.
