Catfish talk by Chris Greiner of Patton, PA.
" For the last seven years, I spend the first week of May in Santee, SC. fishing Lake Marion. The biggest cat any of our party has ever caught is a 65lb Flathead. My personal biggest is a 45lb Bluecat in this picture".

Northern Pike talk by Goldhoss of Ashland, Ohio.
"A few years back, I was fishing with my buddy Bill at Muddy Fork River in Ashland County. We fished for 3 hours and nothing was biting so we headed back to the truck. We looked over to a deadfall in the river as a blackbird came down to take a drink. The last thing that probably went through his mind was "yikes". A big ol' pike jumped and swallowed him in one bite. Never seen anything like it. I have never landed a pike but have had a couple on the line while bass and sucker fishing. Man, talk about an adrenaline rush... right up to the time when the line snapped." Pictured with this nice Pike is Brian James "War Eagle" Your Fishing Editor and Forum Moderator

Updated fishing reports from every corner of Ohio, including the Ohio River and Lake Erie. As well as Out of State reports from all over the U.S.A.
Lake Erie Fishing Report 11-7-05:
"Most walleye effort over the past week has been from Huron to Vermilion or on Kelley's Island shoal and Gull Island shoal. The average size has improved with occasional Fish Ohio walleye being caught. Spoons or crawler harnesses trolled deep with dipsy divers, jet divers or downriggers have produced the most consistent catches, while crankbaits have produced some of the larger fish.
On the shoals fish have also been caught by drifting crawler harnesses or casting weight forward spinners.
Pier fishing at night is improving with the Huron and Lakeside piers producing the most fish. The Catawba State Park and Mazurik ramp piers have also produced a few fish.
Yellow Perch fishing was slow over the past week with the best reports coming from east of the Vermilion River and off of Cedar Point. A perch spreader tipped with shiners is the most popular set-up. Fish have ranged from 8-12 inches.
Lake Erie surface temperatures range from 51 to 55 degrees.
